WIIKWEMKOONG—A young man is dead following a single vehicle accident that took place on Wikwemikong Way early this morning, Monday, July 17.
The Ontario Provincial Police confirmed that two of their traffic investigators were called to the scene of the accident early this morning, assisting the Wikwemikong Tribal Police in its investigation.
The accident took place near the Zip-Thru gas bar on Wikwemikong Way, just outside the village of Wiikwemkoong.
The Expositor has learned that the accident has claimed the life of a young man from that community.
A detour was set up through the Kaboni Road while the police investigated the fatality.
