There were just over 30 categories in which Western Gaming Horse Show participants entered at this year’s Manitowaning Fall Fair. There were five age groups for the pole race, pictured above. photo by Michael Erskine

MANITOWANING—This year’s Western Gaming Horse Show at the Manitowaning Fall Fair was a great success, as organizer Sylvia Moggy and friends were kept hoping as they registered and lined up the competitors for this year’s event.

Once the dust had settled, the results from the show were in:

In the Agricultural Horses at Halter, Class 1, Section 1, Mare 3 years and older category: first place went to Annie shown by Danika Skippen.

In Light Horses at Halter, Class3, Section 1, Mare 3 years and older: first place went to Cheyanne shown by Natalia Bell.

In Ponies Under 14 Hands, Class 4, Section 1: first place Spirit shown by Mckinley Pyette; second place T.C. shown by Nicole Skippen; and third place Thunder shown by Emma Labranche.

In Obstacle Course, in hand Adult 19+: tie for first place Hannah Moggy with Floyd/Hannah Moggy with Rocky.

In Obstacle Course-ridden Adult 19+: first place Hannah Moggy on Rocky, second place Doug Lebrocq on Buck; and third place Zoii Claveau on Rocket.

In Obstacle Course, in hand Youth 14-18: first place Rachel Auckland with Nugget.

In Obstacle Course, ridden Youth 14-18, first place Rachel Auckland on Nugget.

In Obstacle Course, in hand Junior Under 13: first place Taylor Bell with Buck.

In Obstacle Course, ridden Junior under 13: tie for first place, Taylor Bell on Buck and Taylor Bell on Shadow.

In Obstacle Course, Leadline, first place Elizebeth Moggy on Rocky and second place Aubrey Monahan on Bo.

In Obstacle Course, Mini/Pony: first place Emma Labranche on Thunder and a three-wau tie for second place, Mckinley Pyette on Spirit, Alyssa Mae Bond on Maggie and Alexander Bond on Thunder.

In Poles, Adult 19+: first place Hannah Moggy on Rocky with a time of 31.541; second place Doug Lebrocq on Buck with a time of 35.85, plus a five second penalty for a total time of 40.850; and third place Zoii Claveau on Rocket with a time of 59.148.

In Poles, Youth 14-18: first place Natalia Bell on Cheyanne with a time of 60.685; and second place Rachel Auckland on Nugget with a time of 58.404, plus a five second penalty for a total time of 63.404.

In Poles, Junior Under 13, first place Kendra Miron on Trackers-Air-Jordan with a time of 39.215; second place Taylor Bell on Shadow with a time of 40.012; and third place Taylor Bell on Buck with a time of 35.618, plus a five second penalty for a total time of 40.618.

In Poles, Leadline: first place Elizebeth Moggy on Rocky with a time of 57.229.

In Poles, Mini/Pony: first place Alexander Bond on Thunder with a time of 57.576; second place Nicole Skippen on T.C. with a time of 74.726; and third place Mckinley Pyette on Spirit with a time of 75.140.

In Barrels-19+: first place Doug Lebrocq on Buck with a time of 27.758; second place Hannah Moggy on Rocky with a time of 28.309; and third place Zoii Claveau on Rocket with a time of 45.260.

In Barrels, Youth 14-18: first place Natalia Bell on Chayanne with a time of 35.909; and second place Rachel Auckland on Nugget with a time of 62.227.

In Barrels, Junior under 13: first place Taylor Bell on Buck with a time of 21.815; second place Taylor Bell on Shadow with a time of 26.654; and third place Kendra Miron on Trackers-Air-Jordan with a time of 26.783.

In Barrels, Leadline, first place Elizebeth Moggy on Rocky with a time of 40.640; and second place Aubrey Monahan on Pebbles with a time of 40.642.

In Barrels, Mini/Pony: first place Alexander Bond on Thunder with a time of 38.774; second place Mckinley Pyette on Spirit with a time of 57.089; and third place Emma Labranche on Thunder with a time of 59.114.

In Keyhole, 19+: first place Hannah Moggy on Rocky with a time of 13.810; second place Doug Lebrocq on Buck with a time of 15.620; and third place Zoii Claveau on Rocket with a time of 21.255.

In Keyhole, Youth 14-18: first place Natalia Bell on Chayanne with a time of 17.253; and second place Rachel Auckland on Nugget with a time of 34.090.

In Keyhole, Junior Under 13: first place Taylor Bell on Buck with a time of 13.542; second place Taylor Bell on Shadow with a time of 14.605; and third place Kendra Miron on Trackers-Air-Jordan with a time of 15.150.

In Keyhole, Leadline: first place Elizebeth Moggy on Rockey with a time of 20.885; and second place Aubrey Monahan on Pebbles with a time of 24.078.

In Keyhole, Mini/Pony: first place Alexander Bond on Thunder with a time of 20.872; second place Emma Labranche on Thunder with a time of 27.726; and third place Mckinley Pyette on Spirit with a time of 33.054.

In Bootrace, 19+: first place Zoii Claveau on Rocket with a time of 39.010.

In Bootrace, Youth 14-18; first place Natalia Bell on Chayanne with a time of 27.167

In Bootrace, Junior Under 13: first place Kendra Miron on Trackers-Air-Jordan with a time of 30.732; and second place Danika Skippen on T.C. with a time of 58.264.

In Bootrace, Mini/Pony, first place Emma Labranche on Thunder with a time of 26.556; second place Alyssa Mae Bond on Maggie with a time of 26.802; and third place Mckinley Pyette on Spirit with a time of 26.988. “There were very close times on this event,” noted Ms. Moggy.

Finally, in High Point Horse results: first place Rocky 88 points; second place Thunder 76 points and third place Buck 73 points.
