Timmins man facing child pornography charges

TIMMINS–A Timmins man is facing child pornography charges following a joint investigation involving the Timmins Police Service and the Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The investigation began in August 2014 when officers from the Greater Sudbury Police Service’s Cyber Crime unit identified a target in Timmins.

On December 2, 2014, officers with the Timmins Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence in Timmins. Police seized four computers, which revealed suspected child pornography images and videos.

Jason ANTILA, 44, faces charges of child pornography – make available, possession of child pornography (x2), and accessing child pornography. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for December 3, 2014.
