Susan Whynott rink wins Mindemoya ladies bonspiel

MINDEMOYA—The Susan Whynott rink won the annual ladies bonspiel at the Mindemoya Curling Club this past weekend.

The Susan Whynott rink, which also included vice Paula Fields, second Leslie Marshall and lead Wendy Niven, were the first event winners. They were presented with the Joanne Lanktree Memorial Trophy. Runner-up in the first event was the Ellen Holroyd rink, which included Jeanne Lefebvre, Pat MacDonald and Judy Mackenzie.

In the second event, the Bev McDermid rink defeated the Dawn Wilkin team in the final. Skip Bev McDermid’s rink also included vice Angela Johnston, second Joan Sheppard and lead Cathy King. They were presented with the Anne Smith Memorial Trophy. The runner up in the second event was the Dawn Wilkin rink, which also included Margot Bickell, Ashley Huck and Barb Bond.

Winning the third event was the rink skipped by Kim Cooper with vice Brittany Allen, second Sharon Allen, and lead Sandra Pennie. Runner-up in the third event was the Kim Orford rink which also included Cathy Case, Mary-Lea Buchan and Barb Armstrong.
