Stanley Dominic Fisher (Odjig) passed away peacefully at the Chatham Memorial Hospital on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the age of 89 years. Proud WWII veteran. Husband of the late Arbutus, his beloved wife for 61 years. Cherished father of Brenda, Darla (Real), Roberta, Dan (Teri), Ron (Heather), Terry (Linda) and the late Robert. Cherished grandfather of Angel, Joan, Kiley, Matthew, Daniel, Terry Jr., and Janet. Great-grandfather of Luke, Adam, Hannah, Milana, Joseph, Scarlett and Isla. Dear brother of Daphne (late Chester), Winnie (George), Don (late Rosemary), Franklin, Gordie, Ronnie, Patsy, Rose Marie, Wilfred, Clayton, Marcella, late Rita, late Lena and late Lorraine. Special uncle to many. Thank you to the nurses and staff of the Third Floor, Cedar Grove, at the Davey Home and more recently at Riverview Gardens, Chatham for their wonderful care. Family and friends gathered for a graveside service of cremated remains at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11 am. A remembrance and celebration of his life followed at the Royal Canadian Legion on Great Northern Road. Memorial donations to the Activities Program at the FJ Davey Home would be appreciated.
