November 3—Here we are in November, how the time goes. With so much wind this last while, most of our coloured leaves are gone.

I watched Master Grand Slam curling on the weekend. Gushue’s team won over McEwen’s team. They were playing in Selkirk, Manitoba. Gushue’s team will have their names on the trophy. It was a good game to watch.

I extend sympathy to the Cadieux family and other relatives in the sudden passing of Paul. His funeral is today (Monday) in Mindemoya.

Elwood and Bernice Lewis visited me last Wednesday. We had a coffee and a nice visit.

I get Meals on Wheels each Thursday and last Thursday they decorated the meal with a tangerine made to look like a Jack-o-lantern and a couple of cookies for Hallowe’en. Very nicely done.

The Twilight Club held their October meeting last Monday. The tables and room were nicely decorated for Hallowe’en. This Thursday at 10:30 am they are going to decorate for Christmas. All are welcome. Bring some lunch.

Ann Paisley was in last Thursday and we had a nice visit.

Happy belated birthday wishes to Bob Smith who celebrated last week.

Congratulations to Marlene St. Croix who won first prize for her whole wheat bread at the Agriculture annual meeting in Providence Bay. Also congratulations to Myra Tallman for her first prize on her quilt. Both bread and quilt will go to Toronto in February for the district convention.
