MANITOWANING—Skate Canada Manitoulin held its annual winter carnival recently at the Manitowaning arena with an Olympic theme.
The carnival gave all Skate Canada Manitoulin skaters a chance to show off their hard work from the year.
The evening started off with both CanSkate groups hitting the ice to give the families a chance to see how the skating program circuits work. All of the nine Star Skaters performed their free skate routines for the crowd.
Both the Little Current and Manitowaning Pre-Star skate and Star skate groups also performed group routines.
The carnival ended with a finale including all the skaters. After the show, family and friends were invited to enjoy a fun family skate.
There was a good turnout for the evening and fun had by all.
