Sarah (Sally) Georginia (nee Monkhouse) Williamson passed away peacefully at the Mindemoya Health Centre, with her family in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold (Dub) Williamson (2009). Dear daughter of the late Catherine and Clifford Monkhouse. Sister to Shelva Wiseman, Greg Monkhouse, predeceased by brothers John and Jim Monkhouse and sister Valena Lamb. Loving mother to Katherine and husband Paul Schaeffer and Floyd and wife Caroline Williamson. Will be forever missed by her grandchildren Jamie Schaeffer, Jennifer, Michael, Jessica Williamson and Shawna Schaeffer. After graduating from nursing school in 1956, Sally worked in Mindemoya and Little Current Hospitals for many years. She earned a reputation as a devoted and compassionate nurse. She also volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society receiving a Commemorative Medal from the Governor General of Canada, recognizing her for her years of service. Sally loved to sew, making many of her own clothes and quilts. She also loved to knit and enjoyed sharing that passion with her grandchildren. Sally was also an avid baker, with butter tarts, pies and cookies as her specialties. Sally and Dub ran a Bed and Breakfast in their home for over 30 years, meeting people from all over the world. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 4, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Church, Mindemoya, Ontario. Visitation preceding the Service from 12 noon to 2 pm. Burial at Mindemoya Cemetery.
