Ritchie “Rick” John Shelly, a resident of Spring Bay, died peacefully at his home on June 4, 2014 at the age of 69. Born to Aileen (Norris) Shelly and Francis Shelly (both predeceased) at Bracebridge on October 7, 1944. Beloved husband of Alice (Maw) Shelly. Loved father of Alanna Major (Richard), Glenn Shelly, Tammy Shelly-Evers (Robert), Heidi Britton (Darren), foster son Craig Harrell (Valerie), and his children Riley, Gordon and Nicholas. Proud Poppa of Shahanessy and Donovan, Brittany and Jasmine, Sophia and the newest addition to the family, great-granddaughter Irelyn. Dear brother of Helen Waters (Marvin predeceased), William “Jr.” Shelly (Shirley), Eleanor Cross (Sydney), Lorraine Shelly (predeceased), George Shelly (predeceased) (Pat), Dianne Shelly (predeceased). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, Alice’s family and many friends.
