Condolences go out to the family of Merle Solomon (nee Oakes) who was born in Providence Bay back in 1922. She was predeceased by all nine of her siblings including Nelda Oakes and Grant Oakes who were well known.
Condolences also go out to the family and friends of Jason Leu who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 21. So shocking to hear of someone so young; he was in his mid-forties.
Cheryl Sheppard was down to Toronto for the weekend to attend a Mirvish production of Potted Potter at the Panasonic Theatre on January 21. It was a two-man parody of all seven Harry Potter books in 70 hilarious minutes. It was the final weekend for this play.
Don’t forget about the euchre tournament coming up January 31. You need a partner to join and the games begin at 8 pm.
