The Providence Bay/Spring Bay Lions Club Halloween dance is here at last. Come on out for some ghoulish fright and the most creative costumes in sight. Saturday, October 27 at the Providence Bay Centennial Hall. It all starts at 8 pm and goes on until the ghosts come home. DJ John Roy will be playing tunes to get everybody on the dance floor. This licenced event will have raffles, games, prizes for the best dressed and a light lunch. Tickets are $10 each and are available at the following locations: Buie’s General Store in Spring Bay, Home Hardware in Mindemoya or by contacting Lion Matt Young at 705-377-7149.

The following morning Sunday, October 28 will be a planned power outage by Hydro One. This Island-wide outage will begin at 6 am and last until noon as they work replacing hydro poles. Be prepared or have a plan in place for passing the time.

Happy Birthday wishes go out to Rob Pearson who celebrates October 30.

The monthly euchre tournament will be held Tuesday, October 30 beginning at 8 pm. Bring a partner and head on down to the Twilight Seniors Club for an evening of cards and socializing.

Make sure you get some candies or other kind of treats for the kiddies on Halloween. You wouldn’t want to get tricked.
