Police receive bomb threats involving several locations around Sudbury

SUDBURY–Members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service are currently at three locations within the Greater Sudbury area as a result of Bomb Threats received approx. 20 minutes apart at about 1:00 p. m. today.

The only location identified at this time is the Esso on Regent St.

There is evidence to suggest that the same person made the threats. The locations involved are being checked for suspicious packages or items, and an update will be provided when available.

These types of calls are taken seriously. Public safety is paramount and officers will continue the search until they are satisfied the sites are safe.

Anyone with information as to who may be responsible for making these calls is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers.
