Re, ‘MTO demands hinder Island’s first Tim Horton’s in Little Current (December 20, Page 1).
Really! Why would we want a Tim Horton’s on the Island? We have Loco Beanz. Very good coffee. Next thing you know, they will have a McDonalds. We were trying to avoid these fast food franchises by moving to beautiful Manitoulin Island. We already spot several empty Tim’s coffee cups all over the roads.
I for one sincerely hope that this is not approved. Why ruin a peaceful environment with this unwanted franchise? If you want to patronize Tim Horton’s go to Espanola. It would give you a break from shopping at Giant Tiger, Canadian Tire or Freshco. Or move. Saying that it would increase employment? Ridiculous! Would a petition stop this endeavour?
