OPP warns Little Current residents of door-to-door scam artists

LITTLE CURRENT – Little Current Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is warning residents to be aware of two males targeting seniors. On Wednesday, May 18, two males attended the residence of an elderly person soliciting the resident to pay for eavestrough cleaning on the home for a set fee.

Once the resident agreed to the set fee and the males performed the work, they completed additional work on the roof without the homeowner’s consent. They then charged the homeowner seven times the original price, which was paid to the suspect(s) in cash.

Further investigation revealed that the additional work to the roof had not been done.

One suspect is described as white male, 5’8″ with medium build with grey and brown hair and a light coloured ball cap, approximately 50 years old, wearing a dark shirt, black or navy jeans.

The second suspect is described as white male, 5’8″ with medium build, in their mid-20s a wearing beige, light coloured jogging jacket, and blonde short hair pulled forward towards front.

The vehicle is described as a black truck with tinted windows, short box containing chainsaw and numerous other tools. 

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this crime should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
