OPP investigating the death of a Killarney resident

(KILLARNEY, ON) – On December 7, 2017 shortly after midnight, members of the Sudbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Sudbury-Manitoulin District Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to an injured male in Killarney, Ontario.

The male was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The Sudbury OPP and the North East Region Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Robert Matthews of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are conducting an investigation into this death.

As a result of the investigation, Paulette ORENDORFF, 64 years of age from Killarney, Ontario has been charged with:
  • Second Degree Murder contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code (CC)
The accused has been remanded into custody pending a bail hearing at the Provincial Court of Justice in Sudbury, Ontario.
