‘Watermark’—This author is Manitoulin Island’s own Jennifer Farquhar. Although she now lives in Kitchener, I am sure she hasn’t forgotten her roots. This is her first novel.
This story takes place in a Northern Ontario island named Mikinaak Island and is a mystery/ghost story combined with a woman’s journey to come to terms with her past and find her true home. A good read.

Those cold winter nights will soon be upon us and nothing is better than to curl up in front of a fireplace immersed in a great book. You must supply the fireplace but we have lots of excellent books for you to escape in.
Our campaign to help our Island furbabies by collecting food for them has come to an end for now. Thanks to all those who donated food/cash to help these beautiful animals.
