MHC Auxiliary News – Mindemoya

Our spring 2016 luncheon and bazaar was a great success due to a higher turnout than usual. We thank all those who graciously donated to the upstairs tables and luncheon and to all the volunteers that worked that day.

We wound up our cash draw and have commenced a new raffle featuring a quilt, Guardian gift certificates and a gift basket. Tickets are available from any Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary member.  Watch for us selling tickets at various locations including the Providence Bay Fair.

Joan Beard has been a loyal and hard working volunteer as treasurer with the Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary for over 15 years. Did you have a little seasonal craft on your dinner tray in the hospital? Did you receive a quilt or a silver mug when you were the first baby of the year? Did you buy a raffle ticket? Joan has worked tirelessly on all of these projects. Joan, as you step down from this position, we thank you for your years of dedicated volunteering.

Fundraising is always ongoing and we have a couple of big projects lined up for the coming year.

We are pleased to announce that we have three new directors in our auxiliary. Welcome to Evelyn Cardiff, Annette Murphy and Anna Orford.

We meet the third Wednesday of every month (except July and August) at 7:30 pm in the boardroom of the Mindemoya Hospital. All are welcome to attend.
