In loving memory of Mary Elizabeth Bond. It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Bond, at the Mindemoya Hospital with her daughter at her side, on December 13, 2012 at the age of 68. Reunited with her loving husband Willis Bond (predeceased January 7, 2008). Cherished and devoted mother to Sandra and much loved mother-in-law to Steve Elliott. Amazing grandma to her pride and joy Elizabeth. Daughter of Llwellyn and Lila Honess (both predeceased). Deeply missed sister of Helen McColeman (husband Dalton predeceased), Jean McKay (husband Raymond predeceased), Jessie Bell (husband Floyd predeceased), Blanche and husband Blair Purvis, Calvin Honess (predeceased) and special sister-in-law Margaret, Ken Honess (predeceased) wife Bessie. Sister-in-law Eva Bond (Russ predeceased). Betty and Willis Sloss (both predeceased). Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mary was a friend to so many, and shared so much with everyone. She and Willis loved to entertain family and friends. Her baking was legendary, and developed, much to her surprise, into an eleven year career at the Mindemoya and M’Chigeeng Farmers’ Market. Here Mary shared her specialties with old and new friends, and received her joy in seeing others enjoy her baking. Family was always first for Mary, and the arrival in 2008 of an unanticipated granddaughter, filled a void and brought joy during a very difficult year. She was so grateful for the support of her friends following the loss of Willis and her battle with cancer. Special thanks to Dr. Lopez, Dr. Reade, Dr. Stadnyk, nurses and support staff at Mindemoya Hospital for the compassionate care. Visitation was Monday, December 17, 2012 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm at Mindemoya United Church. Funeral Service was at 11 am on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Burial at Mindemoya Cemetery.
