(MELDRUM BAY, ON) – On Monday, July 22, 2019, at approximately 1:26 p.m., officers from the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the Sudbury-Manitoulin Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a report of a possible drowning in Meldrum Bay, Ontario.
An 18-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing under the direction of the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service (OCC-FPS).
The name of the deceased subject is not being released at this time pending the notification of the next of kin.
