Manitoulin Chrysler unveils upgrades with extravaganza

MINDEMOYA—Over the years Manitoulin Chrysler has developed a solid reputation for good deals and great service and now, thanks to a fair bit of Legge family elbow grease, the Mindemoya dealership is looking pretty sharp too.

“Yeah, dad (Owen) and I pretty much redid the whole dealership,” laughed Wayne Legge following the businesses’ official grand re-opening. The extensive renovations took up a lot of evenings and weekends. “We didn’t want to interrupt our customers’ experience, so most of the work took place after hours.”

The makeover included most of the dealership.

“We started with the showroom,” said Mr. Legge, “then we completely redid the parts department. We moved walls, redid floors, ceilings and made everything more efficient.” That included new LED lighting and electrical. “We also resided the whole dealership with new insulation.”

Sherri McDougall ecstatically hugs Manitoulin Chrysler owner Wayne Legge after purchasing her new truck. Manitoulin Chrysler recently celebrated upgrades to the dealership.

The result is not only more efficient, but provides a warm and friendly environment for both customers and staff.

“It has made a huge difference for the staff,” said Mr. Legge. “Over half our staff have more than 20 years of experience. They laugh because they have been here twice as long as I have.”

That experience in the bullpen has huge benefits for Manitoulin Chrysler’s customers, many of whom have been with the dealership themselves for years.

Manitoulin Chrysler also plays a significant role in the local economy. “We have over 20 people working for us now,” noted Mr. Legge. That makes the dealership the second largest business in town, second only to the local grocery store.

Manitoulin Chrysler stands solidly behind what they sell, with five mechanical bays now in operation. That’s because providing great customer service plays a large role determining staffing levels. “We have recently hired another mechanic,” said Mr. Legge. “That has cut down wait times for the customer.”

The folks at Manitoulin Chrysler wanted to share their new look with their customers in a big and meaningful way, so on July 14, from 9 am to midnight, they held a grand re-opening celebration that not only included zero percent financing on select models, and $11,000 in total discounts, but one-day employee pricing as well.

But even though those re-opening specials are now done, don’t fret, Manitoulin Chrysler has been building a reputation for sharp pencils for some time now. “I made the decision to focus on volume,” explained Mr. Legge. That decision has meant there is always a good deal to be found on the lot.

As part of the grand re-opening celebrations, at 5 pm on July 14 a complementary customer appreciation barbecue began and when the summer sun was well set at 10 pm, fireworks lit up the night sky.

Mr. Legge and his staff invite anyone who may have missed the grand re-opening to stop in and have a gander at their great new look while they check out the even greater deals waiting for them on the lot.
