LETTERS: Accolades given to sexual assault victim and survivor

Wishing her the very best in her healing process

To the Expositor:

Kudos to sexual assault victim and survivor Destiny Douglas for having the courage to speak out publicly after her horrific experience while merely trying to do her job.

While she will face several years, if not a lifetime of having to deal with this this sexual assault and its after effects, the predator is given a three-year sentence and then can get on with how own life.

It’s the law as it stands, it’s undoubtedly not justice of any kind.

To add insult to the injury the perpetrator, and repeat offender in this case Roy Preston, has not accepted any responsibility for his wrongdoing and has the gall to appeal the conviction.

Wishing Destiny the very best in her healing process and I know this intelligent young lady will be instrumental in making changes in other’s lives through her work and her own story.

Sincerely,

Ray Khan
