Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service is currently investigating an arson that occurred in Wikwemikong on Sunday, January 29.
During the early morning hours, the Wikwemikong Police and fire department were called to a structure fire located at 2373 Wikwemikong Way on the Wikwemikong Unceeded Territory. Upon arrival, officers found an abandoned structure to be totally engulfed in flames.
The Wikwemikong Police secured the area and the Wikwemikong fire department extinguished the blaze. The structure was destroyed by the fire.
The Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police Identification Unit.
