Convenience store fire deemed suspicious
Following response to a fire at K&T Variety in Little Current on Monday, May 11 by the Northeast Town Fire Department, assistance was asked of the Ontario Provincial Police and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office for the investigation. According to Manitoulin Detachment Commander Staff Sergeant Kevin Webb, the fire has been deemed suspicious in nature and a police investigation has ensued. K&T was able to open its doors to customers on Friday of last week after an extensive cleanup and replacement of smoke-damaged stock.
