ASSIGINACK – The Knox Charity Golf Tournament originally scheduled for Tuesday, July 7 has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated emergency measures.
Al Mattison, tournament co-ordinator, said that even if notification was received that the golf course would be open with certain protocols to be followed, the committee would be unable to complete their work contacting both sponsors and participants. In addition, it is unlikely that the dinner and prize awards ceremony following the tournament would be possible.
“Thanks to everyone who had already committed to supporting the 2020 tournament,” Mr. Mattison said.
