Kathleen Cecelia Quigg left this earth on December 27, 2012 to be with her beloved husband John Patrick. She died peacefully at Georgian Manor Nursing Home in Penetanguishene with her daughters at her side. Many years were spent under the great loving care at Manitoulin Lodge in Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday there with the staff, family and her best friend/roommate/her voice, Margaret. She is survived by her daughters Mary Lou Penhale (predeceased husband Ray) and Cathy Piper, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one niece Joann Quigg. Her good friend from Manitoulin Island, Father Bert Foliot, officiated at her celebration Mass on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at 11 am at St Joseph’s Parish, 200 Moorish Road, Highland Creek, West Hill, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations to Warmhearts Palliative Caregivers, Sudbury/Manitoulin (Manitoulin Branch) would be appreciated.
