Northeast Town Mayor Al MacNevin, centre, on behalf of the municipality proclaims Poppy Week is starting on Friday, October 28 and will run until Remembrance Day. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 177 President Sue Morin, (right in photo) pins the first poppy of the campaign on Mayor MacNevin and also noted that all proceeds from poppy sales and Remembrance Day wreaths go into a special fund to assist veterans and for very specific community uses.
