TENNESSEE—Evansville shot-putter Joseph Maxwell had a strong showing at the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Indoor track and field championships, held recently.
Mr. Maxwell placed 17th overall among all the SEC athletes participating in the competition. He posted a throw of 15.65 metres. He placed second among his team-mates at the major competition.
The Tennessee Volunteers set 15 personal best and posted 12 top 10 performances over two days of competition at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose complex, held last week.
