Landon Seifried posts best score in his division
MINDEMOYA—Several members of the Central Manitoulin Archery Club have proven again that they are among the best archers in the province of Ontario.
A few members of the local archery club took part in a provincial competition held in January and the results have now been posted.
Central Manitoulin Archery Club members Sheila Madahbee, Noah Holmes and Landon Seifried took part in the International Field Archery Association (IFAA) indoor round competition, run by the Ontario Archery Association (OAA). The local archery club shoot took place at Central Manitoulin Public School in Mindemoya on January 24.
“Landon Seifried captured gold in the Male Peewee Compound Category with a score of 207,” said Jake Diebolt, coordinator of the Central Manitoulin Archery Club. “Noah Holmes got the bronze medal for the Male Pre-Cub Compound category with a score of 179. Sheila Madahbee came in sixth in the Female Senior Compound category with a score of 290.”
“Our archers have done very well, especially when you consider the size of our club and our facilities, and all credit needs to go to them,” said Mr. Diebolt. “They’ve worked very hard to be where they are and I’m very proud of them.”
