GEORGIAN BAY–The United States Coast Guard (USCG) icebreaker that was scheduled to enter Georgian Bay has been delayed, according to the Canadian Coast Guard.
Last week it was reported that icebreaking operations would commence Sunday, April 13 or Monday, April 14 in Georgian Bay and the Whitefish River area. However, according to the Coast Guard the USCG vessel that will be carrying out the icebreaking activities has been delayed until mid- or end-week.
