Hydro One billings should be against the law

Writer advises readers to take the law into their own hands by recording daily meter readings

To the Expositor:

It’s very disturbing when I hear on the news about what Hydro One is doing to its customers. And it’s only the citizens with residential homes who are being targeted and the government is not doing anything about it.

If the government does not want to protect you, then it is your right to fight back any way you can. If there is no law to protect you, then take the law into your own hands because what Hydro One is doing is against the law (fraudulently billing its customers).

There are a lot of people who are living on fixed incomes and they are struggling to make ends meet. Hydro One is making it even harder for them with their greed.

Hydro One never took the time to train its employees on how to use or read these stupid meters because they were taking short cuts when they should have taken the time to train them.

It’s the citizens who are being affected by their stupidity and I brought this up with one of the MPs because I noticed a discrepancy on my meter.

I take down my meter reading every day and I noticed that my meter gave a false reading. It was more than it should have been and it was overnight that it happened. It was not the first time this has happened either. I take meter readings in the morning and before I go to bed.

When I was talking to the MP, I did bring up that Hydro One might be manipulating this technology because these meters have a transmitter inside them.

I put my meter readings on my calendar and if they try to overbill me I will have my proof.

I hate this technology because it’s too easy to be used in the wrong way to take advantage of somebody and also destroys the reality of life.
