Fayenia Rosena Sterling Chatwell died peacefully at Mindemoya Hosptial on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the age of 86. Born to Lucy (nee Coe) and Harvey Sagle, at Assiginack Township, Manitoulin on November 27, 1928. Beloved wife of Raymond Chatwell. Loved mother of Shirley and husband Dave Nelder, Sharon and husband Chester Spry, Ronda McDonald and husband Don Banfield, Perry and wife Barb, Shelley and husband Michael Brown. Predeceased by daughters Patricia and Mary Ann and son-in-law Michael McDonald. Proud grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 25. Sister of Raymond and Joan (both predeceased), Ernest (predeceased WWII), Leland Sagle (predeceased) Elenora (surviving), Maizie and Wildred Case (both predeceased), Ronald (predeceased) Joan (surviving), Andrew (Janet) (both living), Marilyn (Wayne Sparham) (both living). Donation to Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary, CNIB or your personal choice will be appreciated. She lived a life of dedication and commitment to her family, community and God (her faith). She lived her faith. Her door was always open to whoever may wander in for a coffee, meal or a night’s stay. She was a perfect cook and baker, one never left her table hungry. If some one was sick in the neighbourhood she was often first to provide a meal or a helping hand. The grandkids always knew there would be homemade goodies ready for them (pies, buns, cookies, bread). She drove school bus for 30 years or more, she always kept good order on the bus. Devoted grandmother and bus driver. Will always be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends gathered at Island Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 7 pm to 9 pm. Funeral Services were held at Island Funeral Home on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 1 pm with Weston Leeson officiating. Burial at Hilly Grove Cemetery.
