What’s new with Growing Forward 2?
In Ontario, Growing Forward 2 (GF2) offers cost-share funding assistance for producers, processors, organizations and collaborations to help business grow profits, expand markets and manage risks. Individual businesses may be eligible to receive up to $350,000 over the life of the program. GF2 runs from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2018. GF2 provides cost-share funding for assessment/audit, planning, skills development and training and implementation project categories. We are looking to fund projects in six areas of focus: environment and climate change adaptation; animal and plant health; market development; labour productivity enhancement; assurance systems; food safety, traceability, animal welfare; and business and leadership development. GF2 is a merit-based program. Only the most impactful projects will be awarded cost-share funding.
