Eric Roger Turcotte died peacefully on April 12, 2013 at the Manitoulin Health Centre in Mindemoya, Ontario, at the age of 55. He was born October 21, 1957 in Kirkland Lake. He is predeceased by his parents Gérard and Albertine (Gauthier) Turcotte. Eric is survived by his siblings and their spouses, René (Sheila), Alain, Nicole (René), Danielle (Paul), Joël (Beverly), Lynne (Brian), Léona (Paul), Suzanne (Gary), and Rachel (Terry). He will also be missed by his loving nieces and nephews. Due to health issues, Eric left his family home in Kirkland Lake at a very young age. He lived in Smith Falls, Sudbury, and finally found his real home in Mindemoya, at Hope Farm. Eric was an avid hockey fan and loved the Toronto Maple Leafs. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 10 am with Service of Celebration at 11 am on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Mindemoya Missionary Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eric’s name to Community Living Manitoulin at P.O. Box 152, 6062 Highway 542, Mindemoya, Ontario P0P 1S0.
