SAULT STE. MARIE—To mark the 25th anniversary of being the first woman in space, Dr. Roberta Bondar has launched a seven city tour of Northern Ontario to mark the anniversary.
The tour kicked off April 25 in Sault Ste. Marie, where Dr. Bondar lives and will continue on to include Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins, Manitoulin Island, Kenora and Thunder Bay.
Exact dates of the rest of the tour will be announced in the next few weeks. The tour is part of a Canada 150 project in conjunction with Science North.
