Give it some thought!
MANITOULIN— “ Debate topics sought…give it some thought!” is the theme The Expositor Office has adopted in asking Manitoulin voters to come up with relevant ideas for candidates to debate at the Thursday, October 1 All Manitoulin Candidates’ Night.
The format for this event has been modified to allow the candidates to debate issues on a one-on-one basis.
The debate topics will be limited to four and moderator Jim Van Camp will choose this number from the submissions received over the next week.
The popular “questions from the floor” part of the event will, of course, carry on as usual.
This is your opportunity to have something that concerns you publically debated by the participating Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapaskasing riding candidates.
There is a deadline for submissions: 4 pm on Wednesday, September 30. You can email your idea for a topic to editor@manitoulin.ca . You can fax it to (705) 368-3822 or you can bring it into The Expositor Office in Little Current or to the Recorder in Gore Bay.
The Expositor Office (organizer of the event) looks forward both to your submissions and to seeing you at the October 1 event.
