Daniel Dallas Joseph (Superman) precious son of Joseph and Laura-Jean Anwhatin of M’Chigeeng First Nation, began his journey into the Spirit World on June 28, 2012 at the age of 35 years. Predeceased are both sets of grandparents, Alphonse and Catherine Corbiere and Jonas and Leona Anwhatin and his brother Jonas Anwhatin and godmother Genivene Debassige. Danny Boy leaves behind three children who will forever love and cherish him beyond eternity, Carter (13) his first born (mother, Dawn Bebonang) and his life partner Nichole Laford, their two beautiful children Bailey (7) and Honey (3 1/2). Danny will also be sadly missed by sisters and brothers Josephine (Shanz), Stephen (Dolores), Annette, Paula (Doug) and Jeffery. Danny will be sadly missed by his nephews and nieces Blade, Skii, Trey, Storm, Chance, Justice, Jaden, Jordon, Alyssa-Rae, Aaron, Adrianne, Ashley, Maverick, Sonnie, Rebecca, Dream, Dallas, Kathleen, Mercedes and Milly. Precious nephew to many and he will be missed by many cousins. Danny Boy had many skills, his proudest would be his carpentry skills. He was known for his precise work around the community, Manitoulin Island, Chicago and Sudbury. A skill he so patiently learned from his dad. As a child he got his nickname Superman by his godfather Francis Corbiere (Poncho). He always wore a towel around his neck trying to fly around like superman. Through his adult life he played that name to the fullest even now he will be remembered as superman. But his greatest joy in life was spending time with his partner and children playing and learning with each other. Dan and his best friend Lauren enjoyed putting numerous little projects together but never really getting them done, too busy riding around looking for another project to do! He enjoyed friends and family gatherings. His presence will so sadly be missed. Relatives and friends may call at Saswaahns Spiritual Centre after 2 pm on Monday, July 2, 2012 until the time of the service on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 11 am at Saswaahns. Interment in M’Chigeeng Cemetery. “Travel Well Son, Brother, Father, Nephew, Uncle.” Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay, 705-282-2270.
