Christian Lee Mokohonuk passed away peacefully at Laurentian Hospital on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the age of 11. He fought a long battle with cancer for 6 years. He was born on Manitoulin Island July 15, 1999 but has been a resident of Espanola his entire life. Survived by his mother Cindy Mokohonuk, father Dan Mokohonuk and his buddy and brother Bradley. He will be sadly missed by grandparents Sandra and Dennis Valiquette, grandparents Louise Mokohonuk and Micheal Mokohonuk, great-grandmother Wilhelmine Batman and great-grandfather Jerry Batman. Lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will also be sadly missed by Noah and his many other friends. Christian spent many hours with his pets Pixie, Rusty, Oscar and Hazel. They too will miss him. He was a brave little soldier! We were thankful to have him in our lives and grateful for all he taught us. Service to be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 7 pm at the Espanola United Church. Donations to Northern Ontario Families of Children With Cancer or Pet Save-Sudbury would be appreciated.
