LITTLE CURRENT–Canadian Blood Services is asking Little Current and area residents to consider donating blood to help ensure an adequate supply for Canadian hospital patients in need during its stop at the Northeast Town recreation centre on Wednesday, October 30 from 4 to 7 pm. Please bring a friend or family member and donate. “We need communities to rally together because it takes many donors to help save a hospital patient,” a press release from Canadian Blood Services States.”

Some examples include: Up to eight donors a week to help someone with leukemia; up to 50 donors to help someone in a car accident; up to two donors to help someone who needs brain surgery; up to five donors to save someone who needs cardiovascular surgery; from to two to eight donors to help someone with internal bleeding; and up to two donors a day to help someone undergoing a bone marrow transplant.
