A pox on all Internet services, it is just a gossip net
To the Expositor:
This technology we have today is not so good after all because it is so easy to abuse them in lots of ways and the most common one is distractive driving, texting or talking on cell phones while driving. I strongly agree with the new law, a $1,000 fine for anybody caught texting or talking on their cell phone while driving and also three demerit points. It is about time to get though on people who are still doing this and there should be no breaks either, just slap the fine on them right off the bat. There are just too many people dying on our roads because of this abuse.
Then there are lots of scams on the Internet that people are falling for, teenagers are sometimes ruining their lives on the Internet, people are losing touch with the reality of life and anybody who has understanding of life would see this because some people can never let go of their hand held devices. Sometimes I see people walking around texting and not even paying attention to their surroundings and I know they’re getting hurt because of it, or walking into traffic or things. To me this is just a gossip net and personally, I do have a cell phone and it is just a simple phone, not one of those fancy cell phones, but it works the same way and I use it very wisely. It’s just for receiving phone calls or for me to make calls and I told my provider to block off the Internet, which they did, because I do not want anything to do with Internet services, I do not even have it at home.
