DUNTROON — The Walden Mountain Bike Club’s Wolfpak Racing / Inception Cyclery team kept its longstanding podium streak intact at the Provincial Mountain Bike Championships at Highlands Nordic Centre in Duntroon this past Sunday. The Wolfpak earned four podium spots and crowned two provincial champions.
Katlyn Dundas (Under 23 Women) and Colin Grant (Citizen 19+ men) won gold medals in their divisions while Alex Schmidt (Under 23 men) and Samantha Fuller (Under 17 expert women) took bronze medals. Sudbury Cycling Club’s Suzanne Halet (Citizen 19+ women) also won gold. Tehkummah’s Alex Anstice placed fourth in the Master Expert Division (30-39 Men) with a time of 1 hr 36 min 09 sec.
“It has been another outstanding year for the Wolfpak,” said Rob St. Marseille, president of the Walden Mountain Bike Club (WMBC). “The club is very proud of the individual results and even more proud of the reputation as fun loving ambassadors to the sport our members have earned as they represent WMBC and Sudbury in the racing community.”
