Winning lottery ticket remains unclaimed

SAULT STE. MARIE—As of January 10 no one has come forward to claim the winning prize of $80,754.90 from the Tuesday, January 17, 2023 LOTTO MAX draw. The winning ticket was sold in the Manitoulin district. The winning selection for this prize was 01-02-05-06-16-30-45 and bonus number 19, according to an Ontario Lottery and Gaming release.

Tony Bitonti, director of media relations with OLG, told The Expositor January 10, “I just received an update from the prize centre and so far, no one has claimed the $80,000 LOTTO MAX prize.”

“However, there are still seven days to go so fingers crossed that someone comes forward,” said Mr. Bitonti. “We appreciate the attention you are giving to this as we always want to pay out our lottery prizes. As I mentioned, someone paid money to buy a ticket for a chance at a prize and they won, so we want to pay the rightful owner their prize.”

Players must match six out of seven numbers plus the bonus number to win the secondary LOTTO MAX prize. Players have one year from the draw date to claim their prize.
