WILLIAM PAUL ”PIRATE” WILSON

Paul Wilson, a resident of Gore Bay, died at his residence on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the age of 58 years. He was born in Gore Bay, son of the late William and Ellen (Bailey) Wilson. Pirate had worked as an engineer for Capital Power in Hearst as well as having worked at various companies, mostly in the North. He had a great passion for hunting and fishing and in his younger years was a good ball player. Paul was always there to help his friends no matter what the situation. He had a great sense of humour, was a happy-go-lucky kind of guy who loved having fun. He also enjoyed watching “Lord of the Rings” movies and most any similar movie. Pirate will be sadly missed. Paul is survived by sisters Donna of Sault Ste. Marie, Maxine of Kagawong, Barb of Benito, Manitoba, Beth of Massey, Kelly of Webbwood and brother Charlie of Gore Bay. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Pirate was a lifelong friend and buddy of Bob Chatwell and Randy German. Cremation will take place. A celebration of Pirate’s life will take place at the Culgin Funeral Home on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 1 pm.
