In loving memory of Calvin Pierce, a resident of Kagawong, who died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Mindemoya on Saturday, June 28, 2014. He was born in Billings Township, son of the late Russell and Gladys (Montgomery) Pierce. Calvin had worked for the MTO for over 35 years. He had a variety of interests and hobbies, which included woodcutting, gardening, hunting and fishing, making maple syrup and pretty much anything outdoors. Calvin was predeceased by his beloved wife Rita on June 20, 2013. Loving and loved father of Darlene Shannahan (Edward) of Espanola, Dwight (Carol) of Lively, Kevin (Linda) of Kagawong and Darren (Gaetan Beaulieu) of Milton. Predeceased by daughter Beverly Rochon. Proud grandfather of Ann-Marie, Trevor, Spencer, Becky, Christopher, Adam, Deanna, Brendon, Jessica and Kevin Jr. and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Elda Burt and Linda Brandow. Also survived by brothers-in-law Ed Burt and Melvin Brandow and several nieces and nephews. Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 12 noon until 2 pm when the funeral service to celebrate Calvin’s life was conducted by Rev. Mary Jo Eckert Tracy.
