WILLIAM (BILL) ALDRICH RAMSAY February 13, 1932 – September 2, 2017 William (Bill) Aldrich Ramsay passed away peacefully in Toronto on Saturday, September 2, 2017 in his 85th year. Loving husband of 57 years of Barbara (nee Morgan). Beloved father of Heather (Greg) of Manitoulin Island and Elaine (Tom) of Toronto. Proud grandfather of Michael, Matthew, Madeleine and Lauren. Survived by his brother Peter (Anne) and nieces Cris (Richard) and Jen (Bryan). Predeceased by his parents Archie and Margaret (Aldrich) Ramsay. Bill was educated at Ryerson University where he graduated with a Printing and Management Diploma in 1952. He was a long-time employee of both Howarth and Smith Ltd. and Sears Canada. Bill was an avid historian and a long-time member of the North Toronto Historical Society. Bill always kept everyone laughing with his sharp wit and clever one-liners. His friendly smile and wave from the front porch will be remembered by all his neighbours. He loved spending summers on Manitoulin Island, with his family nearby, floating around the bay in his rubber dingy.
