WIIKWEMKOONG—A house fire last week destroyed the home of Dina Peltier and her daughter, taking with it everything they owned.
While the community has been stepping up to help replace some items, the need especially at this time of year is extreme.
At the advice of friends and family, the Peltiers are not setting up a GoFundMe account. Instead, Islanders are encouraged to send donations directly to the family through electronic money transfers to: dinahpeltier@hotmail.com.
