Why no women trappers?

To the Expositor:

I’m writing in response to the article ‘Youth get first-hand experience during trapping course’ in the February 27 edition (page 16).

Before I jump on my soapbox…I wondered if whomever wrote the article found or can find out why young women aren’t offered an opportunity to learn trapping and skinning on this weekend course?

If you need a chaperone, I volunteer! What other reason could there be to not give girls opportunity to apply to this course?
