Two charged with attempted murder in Sagamok shooting

SAGAMOK – On February 16, 2016, officers from the Anishinawbek Police Service (APS) Sagamok Detachment with the assistance of members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a firearms related incident at a residence on Sagamok Anishnawbek.

As a result of the investigation which is being conducted under the direction of Detective Inspector Martin Graham from the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), Trystan Ashley SAGO, 32, and Jasmine OWL, 20, both of Sagamok Anishnawbek, have been charged with one count of Attempted Murder contrary to the Criminal Code.

Both individuals have made their first appearance in court and have been remanded into custody pending a bail hearing.  SAGO is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on February 25, 2016 and OWL is scheduled to appear on February 19, 2016.
