Two Brampton men arrested in Sudbury cocaine bust


SUDBURY – On March 12th 2014, at approx. 5:10 p. m., officers with the Drug Unit of the Greater Sudbury Police Service, assisted by members of the Tactical Team, executed a Search Warrant in a room at a local motel on Lorne St.

The search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl patches, 2 cell phones and Canadian currency.

Two men from Brampton Ontario, ages 22 and 34, were arrested at the scene. Both are charged with 2 counts of Possession of Schedule I Drug for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine and Fentanyl), Possession of Schedule II drug (Cannabis Marijuana) and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

The 22-yr old is also facing 3 counts Fail to Comply Recognizance and 3 counts Fail to Comply Probation, while the 34-yr old is also charged with Fail to Comply Probation.

Both accused were scheduled to attend Bail Court on March 13th, 2014.

Total value of drugs seized is $17,860 and cash seized was $2,415. A rental vehicle associated to the accused was towed from the motel property, taken to a local compound and released to the Rental Company from Mississauga.
