Trial date set for first degree murder charge

GORE BAY—A trial date has been set for January 2 to 26, 2018 for the three individuals charged with the first degree murder of Percy (Junior) Simon, aged 33, of Wiikwemkoong.

As The Expositor reported previously, Robert Travis Wemigwans and Tammy Trudeau, both of Wiikwemkoong, and Byron Kagige of Hamilton were charged following an altercation at a home on Andrew Crescent in Wiikwemkoong on May 17, 2015 that led to the Mr. Simon’s untimely death.

The January 2018 trial will take place in Gore Bay court.
