Town of Gore Bay Angel Bus donation

GORE BAY—The Town of Gore Bay has provided a donation of $1,500 to the Angel Bus committee towards the continued operation of the bus, which benefits residents of the Manitoulin Lodge and seniors in Western Manitoulin.

“The Town of Gore Bay obviously wants to support the Manitoulin Lodge any way we can and the Angel Bus helps improve the quality of life for senior residents,” stated Gore Bay Mayor Ron Lane in presenting a cheque for $1,500 to Sandy Cook of the Angel Bus committee on Friday of last week. “The Angel Bus benefits the quality of care for residents of the nursing home and seniors in Western Manitoulin by providing them transportation to get out to events and activities in the community and around the Island.”

“We want to support the Lodge and volunteers both, and we hope to be able to continue this contribution (to the Angel Bus) in the future .”

“We are so pleased that the Town of Gore Bay is supporting the Angel Bus,” stated Ms. Cook. “The community support we have received is overwhelming and very much appreciated.”
